Personal Profile

I graduated from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of University of Patras in 2011. After I completed my military service, I continued my studies at the University of Southampton where I earned my MSc Degree in Artificial Intelligence. My dissertation focused on the budget optimization problem faced by advertisers participating in repeated sponsored search auctions, seeking to maximize their profit. You can download a copy of my dissertation here.

I started my PhD in 2014 on “Machine Learning for Big Data / Graphs”, under the supervision of professor M. Vazirgiannis. My current research interests are in the fields of graph similarity, dense subgraph discovery and graph-based information extraction. My research is funded by the Institute for the Management of Information Systems (IMIS), a research institute within the Research and Innovation Center in Information, Communication and Knowledge Technologies "Athena".

Outside of the university, I spend time with my family and friends. I also enjoy playing sports and I am a member of a volleyball team.
